Have you ever thought about all the wisdom animal spirits have for us? A lot of people ridicule the idea of animal readings, but if Angels and Elementals can share their wisdom, why can't animals? I read using a deck combined of various other Animal card commercial decks and like to add different cards to it often. I am not restricted by my deck and use it only as a tool, relying on the energies that the animals send forward. This means my deck is unlimited and can connect to any animal species, even extinct or fantastical, perhaps even a beast that exists uniquely in your imagination. Spirit knows no limits. It is my path in life to help people realize the importance of Spiritual guidance through animals. What are Animal Cards? A lot of people I have come across have never heard of Animal cards, and yet are familiar with other oracle-type cards such as Angel cards. The main difference between these cards and Tarot, in my opinion, is that they rely less on symbolism. Once you get a meaning in your mind for a Tarot card it's hard to get it back out again. This happened to me and I found I started reading the Tarot very 'from the book' With Oracle, Animal and other non-tarot decks it is much more up to the readers intuition. I can read the same Animal card in hundreds of different ways, because it all depends on the client. I really feel a connection with the particular Animal card I am reading and it is my belief that I am actually receiving the information through their Spirit, or the essence of that particular animal. I am, of course, not saying that you can't use your intuition to read Tarot also. I have had some wonderful Tarot decks that work with me very well, but I always find Animal cards easier. That said, I do read Tarot, as listed in my Services section, and hope to learn a lot more about the energies residing in those ancient images. What is an Animal Totem? An Animal totem is a Spirit who watches over a person and provides them with advice in the form of 'animal medicine' Originally the belief and concept of totem Spirits was Native American, but it has spread all over the world and is gaining recognition in the New Age movement. Each totem has a different lesson to teach us, and because of this, we can have many totems at any one time, or go through them one by one (or both!). Totems can also be plants, rocks etc and can watch over families and large groups such as tribes. Totem's are not limited to just one person, though I do believe you can have a personal totem who stays with you always, in my case, they have always given me their names, while the others have just told me to refer to them with their species name. There are also many kinds of totem. Some people already know their primary or main totems. If not, look around you! What animal shows up over and over again in your home, your collections, your dreams? What is your favorite animal? This is likely to be your 'life totem' and can distinguish you as a person. There are also totems who come and go very fast, or even re-visit. These totems usually have lessons to teach, and once you have learned it, will move on. I can help you realize what those lessons are, and help you bring the healing and energy from these wonderful helpers into your life.
